A new charter middle/high school proposed for Southeast Volusia will be located in Edgewater and open in 2019. SEV SciTech will be a tuition-free, non-profit public charter high school with emphasis on STEM curriculum, science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The school will help address the growing need for skilled workers and prepare students for college or technical careers in manufacturing.
