The Southeast Volusia Manufacturing & Technology Coalition (SEVMTC) proudly congratulates Team Volusia Economic Development Corporation (TVEDC) on an outstanding 2026 Annual Meeting and 15th Anniversary Celebration, held March 12 at the Mori Hosseini Center at Daytona State College.

The event brought together business leaders, elected officials, and regional partners for an evening of meaningful networking and shared vision for the Greater Daytona Region’s economic future. Registration, networking, and a full dinner program created a dynamic atmosphere that underscored Team Volusia’s continued leadership in advancing economic opportunity across Volusia County.

A highlight of the evening was the keynote address from Matt Tackett, President of the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC). Tackett leads a 17‑state network that has generated “roughly $600 billion in capital investment over the past three calendar years” and is projected to create “more than 600,000 new American jobs,” according to the event program. His remarks emphasized the power of collaboration, innovation, and strategic investment—values shared deeply by SEVMTC and its members.

SEVMTC was especially pleased to see strong representation from Southeast Volusia’s municipal leadership. Enjoying the evening’s networking and regional engagement were:

•            John Barkley, City Manager, City of Oak Hill

•            Kevin Cowper, City Manager, City of New Smyrna Beach

•            Joe Mahoney, City Manager, City of Edgewater

Their presence reflects the unified commitment of Southeast Volusia’s cities to fostering economic growth, supporting industry, and strengthening partnerships that benefit residents and businesses alike.

As Team Volusia celebrates 15 years of service to the Greater Daytona Region, SEVMTC applauds its dedication, vision, and impact. We look forward to continued collaboration throughout 2026 and beyond as we work together to support manufacturing, technology, innovation, and high‑quality job creation across Southeast Volusia.
